DAX Series Digital Audio Amplifiers

The DAX Series amplifiers are multi-function amplifiers that offer an economical alternative for applications that do not require all the features of the DAA2 or DAA Series amplifiers. DAX amplifiers come in 35 watt and 50 watt models. The BDA Backup Digital Amplifier can be used with all DAX models to provide a one-to-one amplifier backup.

Each DAX is capable of accessing and processing from one to eight channels of audio in the DVC audio circuit, amplifying the signal and distributing it through two Class B or Class A outputs.

The DAX has two digital audio ports for connecting to DAL cable segments. One or both ports can be converted to fiber using the DS-FM, DS-SFM, or DS-RFM fiber option modules.

Up to 32 devices, such as DAX amplifiers, can be connected to the DAL (Digital Audio Loop) on a DVC Digital Voice Command unit. DAX amplifiers can be mixed with DAA2 and DAA amplifiers on the same DAL.

DAX-3525 : 120 VAC (35 W, 25 VRMS) digital audio amplifier.
DAX-3570 : 120 VAC (35 W, 70 VRMS) digital audio amplifier.
DAX-5025 : 120 VAC (50 W, 25 VRMS) digital audio amplifier.
DAX-5070 : 120 VAC (50 W, 70 VRMS) digital audio amplifier.

Accessories:
CHS-BH1 : Battery chassis. Holds two 12.0 AH batteries.
Mounts on the left side of the DAA2 chassis.
BDA-25V : Backup digital amplifier (25 VRMS), switch setting for 75, 50 and 35 W operation. Provides a second audio channel when programmed as a primary amplifier.
BDA-70V : Backup digital amplifier (70 VRMS), switch settings for 50 and 35 W operation. Provides a second audio channel when programmed as a primary amplifier.
