COFISS 1230 (FK 5)

COFISS 1230 Fire Protection Fluid (formerly known as Novec™ 1230 and now marketed as FK 5) is the most advanced clean agent fire extinguishing fluid on the market. This clean agent is designed for use in water-sensitive facilities, from data centers to museums and art galleries.

This advanced fire extinguishing agent addresses the environmental and safety concerns posed by HFCs such as FM-200™ and ECARO-25® by having the highest NOAEL and lowest ozone depletion of any system.

The FK 5 fluid is stored in a special container and pressurized with nitrogen inside it, or with external cartridges. When discharged, it becomes a gas that completely floods the area to be protected, cooling it, without posing a risk to the occupants of the place, or to the environment.
